Where is the best place to live in Tasmania with 3 young children, what are the job/school opportunities like?

We have family in Hobart and are thinking of emigrating to Tasmania with our 3 children. what are the job/career opportunities,schools and property prices like? would appreciate some insight to anyone living there or recently emigrated. thankyou

I live in Launceston Tasmania and lived in Hobart for five years and Brisbane for five years. 

As far as living in Tassi;

Prices of houses are low (by comparison) but living costs are generally higher.

Jobs can be scarce and the pay is often lower than the same job on the mainland but it depends on your circumstances.

I love it here and couldn’t imajion raising my kids anywhere else,  it can be very cold in the winter but VERY hot in the summer. 

The heat is dry so a 30• day in Brisbane would be similar to  25 Day down here but it’s not humid and you get burnt easily. 

There are markets, beaches, wineries, races, great schools,  cricket, footy, cultural diversityrich historical landmarks, Wonderful holiday options and a low crime rate.

The only thing that I would have concerns with if I were you would be the jobs & opportunities. 

Tassi gets forgotten about sometimes as it’s “regional”
